The Epson TM-U220 is a rugged 9-pin serial impact dot matrix point-of-sale printer used in retail and hospitality environments, printing on ERC-38 ribbon cartridges for durable receipts and kitchen tickets. It supports 40/42 or 33/35 column widths depending on font, and the black ribbon is rated for around 3,000,000 characters before replacement, making it a low-running-cost workhorse for busy tills.
